The barrister, law lecturer and farmer Diarmuid Rossa Phelan has been found not guilty and has been fully acquitted of murdering a man who was trespassing on his land in February 2022.
Diarmuid Phelan, 56, had denied murdering 35-yr-old Keith Conlon in February 2022 at Hazelgrove Farm, Kiltalown Lane in Tallaght in Dublin.
Ms justice Lankford told Mr Phelan he was “free to go” after the jury returned with their verdict to the court, reports RTE.
The national broadcaster says that the jury spent a total of seven hours deliberating.
Mr Phelan is now a free man to get on with the rest of his life.
