Authorities have confirmed the terrible news that a 23-yr-old man’s body has been recovered in Kinsale, Co Cork after a fall on Saturday evening.
It’s understood that the young man was walking along some rocks on a cliff when he fell down a blow-hole at the Old Head of Kinsale.
A friend of the man, aged in his 20s tried to rescue the man but got stuck during the rescue attempt. He is being treated in hospital for minor injuries.
The 23 year old was recovered west of Garretstown at 12:15am on Sunday morning.
Authorities say that it was a terribly sad accident.
