A senior cardinal in the Catholic Church, George Pell has been sentenced to six years in prison after he was found guilty of sexually abusing two boys in Australia.
According to BBC News, Pell 77, a former Vatican treasurer was sentenced to spend six years behind bars after he was found guilty of sexually abusing choir two boys in Melbourne.
It is alleged that Pell committed the offences 1996, and was found guilty of the crimes last year.
Although Pell is in the process of appealing the convection, he was handed the sentence at a Melbourne Court on Wednesday.
