In what can only be described as a major blow to the Irish economy and yet another victim of the draconian lockdown imposed by Micheal Martin, Leo Varadkar and Eamon Ryan, Carphone Warehouse have announced that they’re closing all of its Irish business.
The announcement means a closure of its 69 standalone stores and 12 in-store outlets.
It also means the loss of 486 jobs nationwide.
Many feel that the lockdown is going to do irreversible damage to the economy and society as a whole. Today’s announcement certainly backs up that claim.
