Authorities in Italy have confirmed that the total number of Covid-19 deaths has risen 627 to 4,032 in the past 24 hours.
The number of deaths is single biggest rise in 24 hours and the total number of cases in the country has now risen to 47,021.
The latest figures now means that Italy has surpassed China for the total number of deaths related to Covid-19.
Official Chinese figures the number of deaths in the country stands at 3,245.
