The UK has just reported the death of 684 more people from Covid-19-related causes over the last 24h.
This is the highest single-day increase in the number of deaths in the UK since the crisis began.
The total death toll there now stands at 3,605.
The midlands is now catching up with the London outbreak and sadly a number of medical workers have contracted coronavirus in a number of hospitals.
