In breaking news tonight, the department of Health and the HSE have confirmed that four more people have contracted the coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland.
It’s understood that two males and two females from the west of Ireland are infected after they tested positive for the coronavirus. They are believed to have travelled from northern Italy recently.
This now brings the total number of cases on the island of Ireland to nine.
