Italy has reported a staggering 793 new coronavirus deaths, a daily record that increased its overall death toll to 4,825, which is 38.3% of the global total.
The number of Covid-19 infections rose by another 6,557 to 53,578, again another record.
Approximately 80% of Covid 19 cases are mild to moderate, almost 14% have a serious illness, and approximately 6% are critical.
