The RTE presenter Claire Byrne has announced that she has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Claire Byrne Live presenter was in her shed at her home when she presented last Monday’s show and she looked visibly unwell.
According to RTE, Byrne wrote an email to staff saying:
“As some of you may know, I tested positive for Covid-19,” she wrote.
“I made the decision that I wanted you all to know this at the earliest opportunity. The HSE contact tracing system worked with me over the weekend.”
She says that she’s feeling better and is over the worst of it, It’s understood that Claire Byrne will appear on her show tonight at some point from 10:35pm to elaborate further on her condition.
