Ryanair has announced that it’s cancelling 25% of its Italian flights due to a significant drop in bookings and a dramatic number of “no shows”.
The swift move has come after Italy now has over 1,500 cases of coronavirus with northern Italy drastically the worst effected area.
The only confirmed Irish case of the coronavirus is that of a male student who travelled back to Ireland from northern Italy.
It’s understood that the only Northern Ireland patient with the coronavirus also travelled back to Dublin airport from northern Italy.
