BREAKING NEWS
In breaking news this afternoon, an unscheduled press briefing has announced that there has been almost a doubling of the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the Republic of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
39 new cases have been confirmed in the Republic of Ireland. It consists of 29 men and 10 women.
Tragically a second person has died from coronavirus in the east of the country.
