The Department of Health have confirmed this evening that there has been 12 further deaths and 236 new cases of Covid-19.
The latest figures now sadly brings the overall death toll to 1,458, whilst the overall case total now stands at 22,996.
According to latest figures published by the Department of Health , a total of 700 people remain in hospitals across the country with or are suspected of having covid-19.
The Department of Health have also confirmed that the number of ICU admissions currently remains at 72.
They also say that despite high numbers in hospital beds across the country there is a growing number of people ready to be discharged.
However the vast majority of those cases are being delayed due to issues arising from long term residential care.
