A North African migrant is in serious condition in hospital after he was stabbed in broad daylight in central Dublin this afternoon.
The migrant is from Algeria. He has sustained serious injuries when he was stabbed near Rosie Hackett Bridge over the River Liffey in the city centre on Monday afternoon.
Gardai attended the scene shortly before 4:30pm this afternoon where they arrested one man – it’s not yet known the identity of this man, but onlookers are claiming that “he too was a migrant”.
The injured man was rushed to the Mater Hospital where his condition is said to be life threatening.
The area has been sealed off for an investigation.
