The so-called ‘Extinction Rebellion’ climate change activists have managed to “trap” Irish politicians inside the Dail during a protest.
It’s understood that the group have locked both the gates of both entrances into Leinster House and Government Buildings.
A large number of gardai have now descended onto the area and are currently trying to cut the locks off the gates to allow the TDs and Senators out.
This is by far the largest gathering of the activists this week so far with the stunt prompting a large garda reaction.
