Websites like The Liberal have taken over news publishing and people are reading their news in their feed daily, well, that’s not going to happen in Australia anymore.
Facebook have decided to block people from sharing or reading news in Australia, including international news after a new government ruling.
The Australian government is demanding that big tech giants such as Facebook and Google pay news companies a % due to the companies being seen as publishers.
Facebook decided that it wasn’t financially viable for them to do so and thus made the reluctant decision to pull all news from being posted or shared in Australia.
Google are said to be in talks to come up with some sort of deal with publishers after they initially said that they were pulling out of Australia altogether.
