The first case of coronavirus in Co Meath has been confirmed this evening.
The patient is said to a male, aged in his 20s and recently flew home from a skiing trip to Northern Italy.
It’s understood that the man is being treated in Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan, Co Meath in an isolation unit, although the hospital has made no official statement at this time.
The HSE will be giving an update on today’s findings in the coming hour.
