
A teenage boy lost his life in a collision between a scrambler bike and a car in southwest Dublin. The accident took place around 8pm Easter Sunday on Citywest Avenue in Citywest, Co Dublin. The young man, believed to be in his late teens, was riding the scrambler bike at the time of the crash. He was rushed to Tallaght University Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced deceased.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to occur later. No other injuries have been reported. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have completed a technical analysis of the scene, and the road is now open again. Gardaà are calling for witnesses to come forward, particularly urging drivers who were in the area between 7.45pm and 8.15pm with camera footage, such as dash-cam recordings, to share it with the investigating officers.
