An elderly woman in her 80s has passed away following a house fire in southwest Dublin. The fire broke out at Mountain Park in Tallaght shortly before 7pm on Wednesday evening.
Emergency services and firefighters responded to the scene, where the woman was sadly pronounced deceased. Her remains have been transferred to the Dublin City Mortuary in Whitehall for a post-mortem examination.
Authorities are scheduled to perform a technical investigation at the location.
