Gardai have confirmed that a tragic incident has occurred in Co Kerry where a young boy pedestrian has lost his life in a collision with a tractor.
The accident took place near Beaufort Bridge at approximately 7:30pm. Emergency services attended the scene, but sadly, the boy was pronounced deceased there.
His body was transported to University Hospital Kerry for a post-mortem examination. The tractor driver, a male in his 20s, escaped the incident unharmed.
Authorities have sealed off the road to conduct a detailed technical investigation, and traffic is being rerouted locally.
Gardaà are urging anyone who witnessed the event to contact them. Additionally, they are requesting that drivers who were in the vicinity of Beaufort Bridge between 7:00 PM and 7:45 PM and might have dashcam or other camera recordings share this footage with the investigators.
