Gardai have stood down an appeal for the public’s help in locating missing journalist Kate Holmquist after a body was discovered this afternoon during the search.
The 62-year-old woman, who was a columnist for the Irish Times, was last seen at Lower Albert Road in Sandycove, south Dublin at around 6pm on Saturday, August 3.
Gardai have said that a body was found at Dollymount Strand and that the death was being treated as a personal tragedy.
