Gardai have issued a warning to women to be vigilant after they’ve launched an investigation into allegations of a sexual assault incident in Cork overnight.
A female alleged to have been sexually assaulted at an alleyway connecting Brian Boru Street and the Lower Glanmire Road. The area remains sealed with a major garda investigation underway and a profile being built of the attacker.
Gardai have warned women, particularly in the area to be extremely careful especially if they’re out on their own.
Women are advised to be extra careful while out running or walking and not to be using earphones or headphones in closed, quiet and remote areas.
