BREAKING: “Get them out!” – Mayhem in Citywest as thousands protest demanding justice after migrant charged with raping 10-yr-old Irish girl

Tensions have boiled over tonight as hundreds of furious protesters descended on the Citywest Hotel in Saggart, Co. Dublin, chanting “Rapists out!” and hurling fireworks at riot-geared Gardaí. The demonstration, swelling thousands strong by evening, was sparked by the alleged rape of a 10-year-old Irish girl by an African asylum seeker on the hotel grounds Monday morning.

Gardaí confirmed a man in his 30s, originally from an African nation and under a deportation order since March after a rejected claim, was arrested under the Criminal Justice Act. The child, in Tusla care, remains hospitalized, with a section of the site sealed for forensics. The hotel, purchased by the State for €148.2 million in June, houses international protection applicants amid Ireland’s migrant influx.

Protesters, waving tricolours and banners reading “SOS: Save Our Saggart,” decried government inaction. “Our once-safe village is a danger zone,” said local mother Ann Doyle, echoing calls for immediate deportations. Live streams captured clashes, with water cannons deployed as crowds surged the entrance.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin faced online backlash for silence on the issue. Gardaí appealed for witnesses, vowing a thorough probe. The incident has ignited nationwide debates on asylum policies, with far-right groups amplifying outrage online.
