BREAKING: Ghost town – Dublin’s streets empty during rush hour as people are staying indoors where possible

Dublin has become an absolute ghost town. The above image of George’s Street was taken at 6:30pm on Monday evening – prime rush hour for people leaving home.

It shows practically no pedestrians, literally no cars or bikes, one bus and one taxi doing a three-point-turn.

People are staying indoors as much as possible unless they absolutely have to go to work, go to supermarkets or essentials in pharmacists.

Many people who are out are using face masks in an effort to not contract the coronavirus.
