The Government have reportedly agreed that Level Covid-19 restrictions will remain in place until April 5th.
According to RTE News, Cabinet officials have agreed on the extension of restrictions with no major reopening of society in the meantime.
It is expected that schools will reopen on a phased basis on March 1st with Leaving Certificate students and primary school students from Junior infants to second class returning from next Monday.
The plan will also see children returning to school on different dates throughout March with the hope that all school children will be back in class after the Easter Holidays in April.
