A man in his 30s died after being struck by a bus on the N7 motorway in Co Kildare, between junctions 8 and 7 eastbound at Kill. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was taken to Tallaght University Hospital, where he passed away late Saturday night.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled. The bus driver, also in his 30s, was unharmed, while two passengers sustained minor injuries.
The N7 eastbound between junctions 8 and 7 is closed for a forensic investigation by Garda Collision Investigators and will remain closed overnight with diversions in place.
Gardaà are seeking witnesses to the incident, particularly those with dash cam footage.
