On Friday morning, shortly after 8am, authorities at Rosslare Europort in County Wexford discovered two men concealed within a truck during a routine immigration inspection. The discovery was made by a joint team of Gardaà and customs officials who were conducting checks at the port. The two individuals, whose identities have not been disclosed, are currently undergoing medical evaluations to ensure their well-being, as confirmed by Garda sources.
The driver of the lorry, a man in his 20s, was arrested at the scene and is now being detained at a Garda station in the Wexford/Wicklow region for questioning in connection with the incident. The circumstances surrounding the men’s presence in the truck remain under investigation, and authorities are working to establish further details.
