Authorities are warning drivers to steer clear of the M50 due to expected “significant delays” caused by an afternoon collision, with southbound lanes shut down at Blanchardstown until at least 6pm.
Emergency crews are responding to the accident, which occurred between Junction 6 Blanchardstown and Junction 7 Lucan.
According to Gardaí, all southbound lanes are currently blocked, and traffic is being rerouted via diversions.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has cautioned that major delays are anticipated.
TII confirmed the M50 southbound closure at Junction 6 Blanchardstown will remain in effect until at least 6pm.
They also noted that drivers approaching Dublin from the M1, M2, and M3 should brace for delays.
