
A man in his 50s, arrested on suspicion of murdering missing Kerry farmer Michael Gaine, has been released without charge, according to RTÉ. He was detained for the maximum 24 hours and questioned at Killarney Garda Station before being driven away in an unmarked garda car.
Gardaà continue search operations at Carrig East in Kenmare, supported by local, regional, and national Garda units, emergency services, and the Defence Forces. Mr. Gaine’s family, informed of developments, are supported by a Garda Family Liaison Officer and have requested privacy.
The man, reportedly known to the 56-yr-old Mr. Gaine, was questioned about their relationship. Mr. Gaine has been missing from his farm near Kenmare, Co Kerry, for eight weeks.
