
A man who gardai arrested last week in connection with the suspected murder of schoolboy Kyran Durnin has been found dead, it’s been confirmed.

The man was arrested last Thursday by gardai and was questioned at a garda station in the east of the country. He was released without charge on Friday evening.
Gardai have released the following statement this afternoon to RTE:
“Earlier today, Tuesday, 17th December 2024, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted following the discovery of a body of a male aged in his 30s in a domestic residence in Drogheda, County Louth.
“The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged. The outcome of the post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
“No additional information is available at this time.”
Locals are calling the discovery and death of the man a “personal tragedy”. No further information has been released at this time.
