BREAKING: Manchester United vs Liverpool game called off after fans break into Old Trafford to protest




Manchester United’s Premier League match against Liverpool has been postponed after a crowd of fans broke into Old Trafford to protest this afternoon.

It is understood that the game which was due to kick off at 4:30pm was called off following a decision by police and the Premier League.

Despite the match being delayed the Premier League officially announced that the game had been postponed with the fixture to be rearranged.

It is understood that the large gathered in the stadium in protest over club’s ownership by American business family the Glazers.

The protests are thought to have come after fans have expressed their frustration over the club’s owners decision to join the since failed European Super League last month.
