It’s going to get absolutely baltic over the coming hours with Met Eireann issuing a status yellow snow and ice warning for the entire country.
The warning is in effect until at least 11am on Sunday morning.
Snow is expected overnight with wintry showers of sleet and hail widespread.
It’s understood that B roads in particular will be treacherous from midnight. People who are going out or will be driving home late are advised to take extra care in the conditions.
The AA have advised people that black ice will be widespread.
