The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has announced that there is a full-on Level 5 lockdown being imposed on the Irish public once more until at least January 31st.
Martin addressed the nation from government buildings and after quoting various figures, Martin said that the situation is extremely dangerous.
He said that the government will do what they have to do with their response. He said that they must return to full scale Level 5 restrictions for at least one month.
No visitors are allowed to private homes or gardens. No social or family gatherings should take place in any settings. Weddings can only have 6 people while funerals will see 10 people in attendance.
All non essential retail and gyms are to close once more.
Schools will reopen from January 11th.
