Dundalk’s incredible manager Stephen Kenny will take over the job from Mick McCarthy after the Euro 2020 finals.
This is quite a dramatic development that no one in sport or media saw coming as Kenny appeared to have come up short in getting a position on the Ireland squad.
No one really knows why this has happened but Stephen Kenny has been given the job of managing the under 21 side with McCarthy back in the driving seat with a two year deal.
Big Mick will hold his first press conference tomorrow afternoon in the Aviva stadium just after 3pm.
