An incident at Shannon Airport in Co. Clare has forced the temporary closure of the runway.
It is understood that a nose wheel buckled as a small aircraft touched down. Sources say that there was only one person on board, who was able to disembark safely.
Several incoming flights were diverted as a result of the incident.
