Police in the North have launched an investigation after a man was seriously injured following an attack in Derry.
The investigation comes after the man aged in his 20s was injured following an incident at a house in the Cornshell Fields area of the city at approximately 2am this morning.
Police say the man was taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
