Garda have responded to a serious incident in Drogheda, Co Louth, this evening after a number of shots were fired at a house in the Hardmans Gardens area.
According to a number of eyewitness a heavy Garda presence have arrived in the area after a number of shots were heard.
It is understood that a man was shot a number of times during the incident.
He has since been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
