The Dunleer to Drogheda road, R132, has been closed after what is being described as a serious car crash on the road.
Emergency services are at the scene of the accident which occurred shortly after 8pm.
It’s not yet known the extent of injuries but emergency workers have said the drivers have been taken to Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda.
