Shamrock Rovers have been crowned FAI Cup champions again after beating Dundalk on penalties in the Aviva.
The match was nip and tuck until Rovers went 1 – nill up with Dundalk managing to stay in it with a very late equaliser in normal time.
Extra Time saw no goals with Rovers managing to get the win in penalties when their goalie really stepped up.
Dundalk’s Manager said that his team will be back next year.
