The death has been announced of showband sax player and singer, Paddy Cole, who was aged 85.
Me Cole celebrated his 85th birthday on 17 December.
He was the forefront of Irish showbusiness for the last 70 years, since he was 15.
He is survived by his wife Helen and their three children, Pearse, Pat and Karen. He lived in Dublin but was originally from Co. Monaghan.
