
The current World Snooker Champion, Mark Williams has been rushed to hospital in Sheffield after experiencing severe chest pains.
Williams, who won the 2018 Crucible Championship, felt unwell during the final session of his encounter with David Gilbert trailing him 5 frames to 3 which was shown on BBC Two earlier this afternoon.
The Welshman looked out of sorts when he was sitting in his chair and he was sweating profusely in the Crucible theatre.
A doctor was called to his room after Williams fell ill backstage.
He was rushed to hospital in Sheffield where doctors are currently examining his condition.
