Breaking: Spanish police arrest van driver in last week’s Islamic terrorist attack – and another man wearing an explosive belt




Police in Catalonia have confirmed that a man wearing an explosive belt has been killed in an incident in Subirats, west of Barcelona this afternoon.

Police also confirmed that Younes Abouyaaqoub, that suspect who was the driver of a van that killed 13 people on Las Ramblas last week, has been arrested and is currently being questioned.

Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia reported that Mr Abouyaaqoub was taken down by a number of police while trying to flee them.

22-yr-old Abouyaaqoub, was born in Morocco and is believed to have traveled to Spain over the past 18 months.
