The final hours before the arrival of Storm Lorenzo are ticking down fast. Met Eireann has now extended the Status Orange warning for Galway, Mayo, Clare, Kerry, and Limerick until 6am on Friday, due to uncertainty about the storm’s duration and area of effect.
Efforts have been underway around these counties since last night, in anticipation of possible flooding and other storm-related damage.
The national forecaster is advising everyone to stay indoors from 6pm tonight and wait out Lorenzo’s wrath and very importantly to keep animals indoors or in safe environments.
