French soldiers have shot dead a man at Paris Orly Airport after he tried to grab a gun from a holster from one of the soldiers. An evacuation of the terminal was ordered after the incident and passengers were forced to leave the airport.
French Police have confirmed that a special operation is underway and bomb disposal units have been sent to the airport to ensure the area is safe.
The unidentified man tried to grab a gun from a French soldier at the airport and the other soldiers wasted no time by shooting dead the attacker.
The French police have said:
“We confirm that the man, who tried to seize a weapon from a soldier, has been neutralized,”.
