It’s been an incredibly difficult time for health care workers around the country and tonight, at 8pm, the country said thank you.
People stopped in their houses, places of work (where they were open) and the Dail to clap all the doctors, nurses, paramedics, carers and health care front line workers around the country.
The one-minute-long clap was broadcast on RTE television and showed people clapping, whistling and beeping their car horn driving by set-up pieces.
