
Ireland have defeated Wales 27-18 in a hard-fought Six Nations match at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Ireland, chasing a historic third consecutive outright Six Nations title, secured the victory and the Triple Crown despite a spirited performance from a rejuvenated Welsh side.
The match saw Ireland take an early lead with a try from Jack Conan, but Wales responded strongly, leading 13-10 at halftime. The second half was tightly contested, with Ireland leveling the score through Jamie Osborne’s try and later retaking the lead with a penalty kick. A late try by James Lowe sealed the win for Ireland, keeping their Grand Slam hopes alive. Wales, under interim coach Matt Sherratt, showed improvement but slipped to a 15th straight Test defeat.
