Gardai have confirmed that a man has tragically lost his life today after he was pulled from the River Sui in Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary.
Emergency services and gardai are currently at the scene trying to deal with the incident.
A Rescue 117 helicopter rushed the scene of where a man is believed to have gotten into difficulty sometime around 4pm this afternoon.
A local diver recovered the man’s body which was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and subsequently taken to Waterford University Hospital.
