Vienna remains under attack this morning as a gunman is still on the loose following a possible terrorist attack on Monday night in the beautiful city.
At least two people are dead and fifteen people have been shot with reports, possibly including a policeman.
Shots were fired in the city’s main square following a shooting at a synagogue in Vienna, Austria, according to local reports.
Pictures and video on social media appear to show gunshots being fired in a very busy area of one of the city’s main thoroughfares. Armed police have rushed to the scene.
According to the editor of the Falter newspaper, one person had been killed after shots were exchanged at around 8pm local time.
Vienna Police posted on social media that there is a “large police operation” going on in the area, and there are “persons injured”.
The government have told children to not go to school and for people to stay indoors and avoid central Vienna.
