BREAKING: “We still need Ireland’s help” – Ukrainians not happy as they hold large protest in Dublin marking 4 years of war

Thousands of Ukrainians march in Dublin to mark four years of war.

Today, February 22, 2026, hundreds of Ukrainians and their supporters gathered in Dublin for a peaceful walk and solidarity event at the General Post Office (GPO) on O’Connell Street. Organized by Ukrainian Action in Ireland, with support from the Embassy of Ukraine to Ireland, the demonstration began at 1 p.m. to commemorate four years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

Participants carried blue-and-yellow flags, handmade posters, and banners with messages such as “We walk so the world does not forget” and “The war is not over.” The event emphasized continued resistance, honoring fallen defenders, and urging sustained international support amid ongoing fighting. Organizers encouraged attendees to bring personal signs to amplify calls for freedom, the release of prisoners, and unwavering solidarity.

The march highlighted the Ukrainian community’s resilience in Ireland, where many have found refuge since the conflict began. Attendees included diaspora members, Irish allies, and groups like Irish Left With Ukraine, who shared images of the crowd standing together against aggression.

As global rallies mark this somber anniversary, today’s Dublin action served as a powerful reminder that Ukraine’s struggle persists, and public voices remain vital in keeping the world’s attention focused.
