Ireland’s Garda Commissioner has said that gardai were right to pepper spray peaceful fuel protesters in Whitegate in Cork this afternoon.
Justin Kelly said that gardai were right in their actions, lawful in their actions and he stands by them.
He said that gardai gave the protesters a warning that they were going to move into an enforcement phase.
But it gets worse.
Kelly said that gardai have more vicious plans up their sleeve and that they’ll use the same dirty tactics by deploying pepper spray at further peaceful fuel protests in coming hours and days.
It’s very evident from social media that the public is turning agains the government, and now the gardai.
