A woman in her 80s is receiving treatment for serious injuries following a five-vehicle collision on the M1 motorway in County Meath. The crash occurred shortly before midday on Friday on the northbound carriageway between Junction 7 (Julianstown) and Junction 8 (Duleek).
A section of the motorway was closed for several hours but has since reopened. The injured woman was transported to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
No other serious injuries have been reported.
